Kagamiku (かがみく) is a FANLOID derivative character. She is acknowledged by Kadokawa Shoten, Inc., the publisher of the Character Vocal Series for VOCALOID2, for commercial use.

History[]

In September 19, 2007 as a character, she is with long sky blue hair and styled with two buns at the top of her head. emiri katō and kari wahlgren voices of she dresses very similar to hatsune miku, but wears a pair of spats (JP: spandex pants). Her eye color varies from artists to artist, though they are commonly seen in shades of magenta or red.

Concept[]

Kagamiku came to represent the tsundere culture of Vocaloid. The fandom displays her personality mainly as hostile but she is also known to be displayed in a more friendlier manner, as many fans give her a widely-known headcanon of having a crush on Konata lzumi, who is another Vocaloid 2 by Crypton. Other aspects of Kagamiku is being a representation of a forum/bbs troll, a Miku wannabe, and a anti-hero of the Vocaloid personage.

A popular depiction of her actions is that she has always been seen texting and lazing around. According to the creator, he has an inherent dislike for Otaku.

Despite Miku being a girl that does things her way, a common fan description is that Miku is employed in a writing agency for a rate of 700 yen per hour. This is a reference to the findings regarding the IP address of the "puppets of advertising agency," revealed to belong to a writing agency company which hired part-time workers for the mentioned pay rate. The nature of what kind of writings the agency orders were never revealed fully, but is speculated to range from common trolling to mercenary work and borderline harassment via bashing. Despite the information, it is nothing more than unconfirmed rumors, and Neru so far has not been illustrated officially to engage in such behavior.

Etymology[]

Her name is a play on words, Kagami (かがみ) is taken from "鏡" or "mirror" while Ku (く) from "未区" or "Unwarded". Miku is regarded as a "JINRIKILOID" (in Japanese, 人力ロイド or 人力LOID) - a play on words. It literally means Fireproof-loid and has the same pronunciation as Vocaloid in Japanese.

Appearance[]

Kagamiku appears as a human-size Nendoroid. Yet when compared to the official Lucky Star nendoroid, Kagamiku is ironically more chubbier and stands slightly higher. Her hair is lighter and her twintails lack volume and are shorter, about hip length. She wears futuristic ribbons and a headset. Her eyes are a noticeable blue and larger, and her expression seems to be in a permanent open-mouth smile. Her top is gray and loose as seen with her limp ruffles and skirt pleats, the tie is wide.. Her arm warmers nearly reach her underarms and her boots are a shiny black rubber with a wide brim.
