Akaiko is the genderswap of Akaito, who is based on the official Vocaloid Kaito. Due to her being based on Akaito, she is a sub derivative. Her name is a combination of "Kaito", "Akaito", wherein "ko" pertains to a "child" or "girl", in Japanese. And 'Aka' in Japanese means 'red'.

It is common to see designs for Akaiko being the exact same design as those released for Kaiko, except in similar coloring to her male counterpart.
Personality[]
Fan portrayal popularly describe her as being aloof, naughty, rigid and delinquent than Kaito. She is more outspoken than Kaiko is.
